Slow Cooker Herbed Pot Roast
The herbs in this pot roast recipe make the difference. It's very tender and full of flavor!
- ■1 2-lb. chuck roast
- ■1 slow cooker bag for quick clean up
- ■1/2 med. onion, chopped
- ■1 C. red cooking wine
- ■1 bag McCormicks Savory pot roast seasoning
- ■3 cloves garlic
- ■pepper to taste
- ■2/3 C. assorted herbs (basil, oregano, dill, mint, rosemary, sage, marjoram, chives and thyme)
Preparation time 20mins
Cooking time 28mins
Place bag in slow cooker. Put roast in bottom of cooker. Put onions on top. Mix wine and seasoning packet. Snip assorted herbs to make 2/3 cup. Chop them to release the flavor of each. Add to the wine mixture and pour over the roast. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
