Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (cooked)
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • little less then 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups Velveeta, cubed
  • Topping:
  • 4 to 5 pieces of bread pulled into small pieces
  • approx 1/2 stick of margarine, melted

Directions:

Melt 1/4-cup margarine, slowly stir in flour (keeping smooth), and gradually add milk a little at a time while stirring to keep smooth, add salt and pepper. When this mixture is completely smooth then add cheese cubes, stirring occasionally until melted.

Pour cooked macaroni into 13x9 baking dish sprayed with cooking spray, then pour cheese mixture over macaroni and stir.

Melt approx 1/2 stick margarine in a small pan, and then place bread pieces in also, stir to coat all bread and then place on top of macaroni and cheese.

Bake at 350 for 30 min. or until bubbly.
