Ingredients
- 10 tablespoons butter
- 4 shallots, finely chopped
- salt and pepper
- 1 10 in. long tenderloin, beef roast
Preparation
Step 1
Melt 5 tablespoons of the butter. Salt and pepper the filet and roll in the melted butter.
Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Cook roast for 5 minutes. Meantime, melt remaining butter, add chopped shallots and pour over the roast. Reduce oven temperatue to 350 degrees and cook an additonal 30 minutes. Vary time according to size of roast.
