Champagne Punch

Served at the Econ Department Christmas Party - 2010, yum!

Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 cups sugar
  • 2 cups lemon juice
  • 1 can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 1/2 quarts ice water
  • 1 bottle chilled Asti Spumanti
  • Whole strawberries
  • 2 large bottles of dry Champagne

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve 3 cups sugar in lemon juice. Place this and the pineapple in chilled punch bowl. Add block ice (or ice ring - made with strawberries), water and Asti. Just before serving, add strawberries and champagne.
