Oatmeal Cake

Ingredients

• Dry ingredients:
• Pour 1 1/2 c. boiling water over
• 1 c. oatmeal (let cool, cream 1/2 c. oleo)
• 1 c. dark brown sugar
• 1 c. sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 1/3 c. flour
• 1 tsp. soda
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
• Additional ingredients:
• 1/2 c. nuts
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• Topping:
• 6 tbsp. melted butter
• 1/2 c. brown sugar
• 1/4 c. canned milk
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla
• 1/2 c. nuts

Preparation

Step 1

After cooling oatmeal and mixing creamed oleo mixture, mix dry ingredients. Combine additional ingredients and add to mixture. Bake 40 min. at 350. Cool. Add topping. Put on while hot, under broiler for a few minutes.
