Lima Bean & Barley Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried lima beans
  • 1/4 cup barley
  • 1-2 soup bones
  • pinch of pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 10 cups water
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 2 celery, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 onions, diced

Preparation

Step 1

Cover beans and soak over night. Drain. Place bones in salted water. Bring to boil and simmer 45 minutes/ Add beans, barley and remaing ingredients. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours
