Peanut Blossoms (Hershey Kiss Cookies)

Ingredients

• 1/2 c. shortening
• 3/4 c. peanut butter
• 1/3 c. sugar
• 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
• 1 egg
• 3 tbsp. milk
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 1/2 c. flour
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/2 tsp. bak. soda
• sugar
• hershey's kisses

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350. In lg. bowl, beat shortening and pb w/ elec. mixer till well mixed.
Add 1/3 c. sugar & brown sugar; beat well.
Add egg, milk, vanilla; beat till fluffy.
Stir together flour, bak. soda, salt; gradually add to pb mixture, beating till well blended.
Shape into 1" balls. Roll in sugar, place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 7 mins. for soft cookies, 10 mins. for crunchy cookies. Immediately press kisses into center of each cookie. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
