Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 can French Style green beans (drain & save juice)
  • 1 small can mushrooms (drain & save juice)
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded American cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cut and fry bacon.
Brown chopped onion in bacon grease.
Add juice from grean beans and mushrooms.
Thicken as gravy (adding corn starch if needed).
Add cheese and stir until melted.
Stir in green beans and mushrooms.

Pour into 2 quart, oven-proof casserole dish
Cover with crushed potato chips.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

*Can be mixed the night before and placed in fridge to bake the next day.
