Ingredients

  • 1 oz dried mushrooms
  • 2 lbs soup meat
  • 2 qts water
  • 2 tsp salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • 1/2 cup pearl barley
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 sprigs parsley, dill
  • 1 bay leaf

Preparation

Step 1

Place meat in salted water and bring to boil. Simmer for 45 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer about 1 1/2 hours more.
