Ingredients

  • 1 egg

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 1/2 teas. baking powder

  • 3 Tbs. butter (softened)

  • 2/3 cup milk

  • 2 cups cranberries

Directions

Mix dry ingredients together; add butter; beat milk and egg in separate bowl; add to dry ingredients; beat for 2 minutes on medium; stir in berries with spoon. Pour into greased 8x12 pan. (An 8x8 or 9x9 pan makes it a little bit thicker and a 9x12 makes it a little bit thinner.) Bake at 325 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes. BUTTER SAUCE Add 1/2 cup butter in heavy sauce pan. Add 1 cup sugar and 3/4 cup evaporated milk. Mix well; cook on low 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Take off of heat and add 1 teas. vanilla. (Refrigerate unused portions for later and reheat in microwave.)
