Egg-cellent sausage breakfast bake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 pound sausage, cooked & well drained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 10 – 16 eggs (depending on crowd)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325. Spray a 2–3 quart baking dish with cooking spray.

Sprinkle half the cheese over the bottom of the dish.

In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine the sausage, sour cream, dry mustard and salt; mix well. Spoon the mixture evenly over the cheese in baking dish. (This much may be done the night before serving; wrap and chill).

In a medium-size mixing bowl, beat eggs and pour over sausage mixture. Sprinkle remaining cheese over egg layer.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until eggs are set. Serve while warm.
