Ingredients
- 2 ounces bitter chocolate
- 1/2 cup water
- 14 ounces milk
- 3 tablespoons evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 11 tablespoons sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 prepared graham cracker crust
- 1 cup whipping heavy cream, whipped until stiff
Preparation
Step 1
Melt the chocolate with the water in the top of a double boiler set over simmering water. Whisk in milk, evaporated milk, flour, sugar and egg.
Cook about 45 minutes, until very thick. Remove from heat and stir in the salt and vanilla, then whisk in the margarine. Place in graham cracker crust and chill until firm. Top with whipped cream.
