cup powdered sugar
cup butter, softened
tsp vanilla ( could use peppermint extract instead)
tbls baking powder
cup finely crushed candy canes, divided
Preheat oven to 350 degree. In a mixing bowl, beat 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar and butter, until fluffy. Add vanilla and egg, beat until combined. In seperate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt, stir to combine. Slowly add to mixing bowl, beating until combined, about 1 minute. Stir 1/2 cup candy cane in by hand. Roll dough into small balls just under a tsp of dough. Roll balls in sugar to coat, place on baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Cool. Stir together 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar with 2-3 tbls milk, add just enough milk to form thick glaze. Drizzle over cooled cookies, and top with crushed candy cane immediately.
