Ingredients

  • 3 cups Water, divided
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Uncookedrice
  • 4 cans Chicken gumbo soup, undiluted
  • 1 lb Shrimp
  • 1 pkg Frozen okra
  • 1 pkg Crabmeat
  • 1 Tbsp Minced onion
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder

Preparation

Step 1

In small saucepan, bring 1 cup water, butter & salt to boil. Stir in rice; cover & remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven or soup kettle, combine soup, shrimp, okra, crab, onion, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder & remaining water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover & cook over medium heat until heated through. Stir in cooked rice.
