Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 Onion, Chopped
- 1 Lb Beef Stew Meat Cubed
- 1 1/2 Cup Water
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 Packet Dry Brown Gravy Mix

Step 1
Heat oil on high in a dutch oven. Saute onions 5 minutes with salt. Add meat, season with garlic & pepper, brown for 10 minutes. Pour water (or until beef is just covered), soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce into the pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Combine gravy mix with 1/2 cup of stock from the pot. Mix in pot and boil until thick. Add 1 tsp of cornstarch if desired, or boil gravy before adding to thicken. Serve with rice or egg noodles.
