Blue Cheese Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 romaine lettuce, rinsed and patted dry
  • 1/4 lb (125 g) Canadian Blue Ermite cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) wine vinegar
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) olive oil
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice
  • Few drops of Worcestershire sauce
  • Few drops of Tabasco sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup (250 mL) croutons
  • 2 tomatoes, cut in half slices

Preparation

Step 1

InstructionsShred lettuce and place in large salad bowl.
In food processor, blend half the Canadian Blue Ermite cheese with vinegar, oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco. Season to taste.
When ready to serve, pour vinaigrette over salad and toss with remaining Canadian Blue Ermite cheese, croutons and tomatoesPrep. Time
