Ingredients
- 6 golden delicious apples
- 1 recipe of pastry dough, store bought is fine
- 1/4 C sugar
- 1/2 stick butter, sliced thin
- 1/2 C apricot jam, heated and strained
- Vanilla ice cream
Preparation
Step 1
Put dough in tart tin and chill.
Peel apples, cut in half and core with melon baller. Slice thin. Note: when cutting apple halves, don't cut the end so when finished slicing, cut off end and fan out.
Arrange on top of pastry (watch foodnetwork.com for demo).
Dot the top with the butter and sugar and bake for 45 minutes at 375 °F.
Remove from oven and brush on apriocot jam to glaze.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.
