Macaroni and Cheese Bake

Ingredients

  • 8oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 Tbsp a-p-flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated sharp chedder cheese
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp salt, pepper and pinch of cayenne
  • 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
  • 3 Tbsp unseasoned fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1tsp olive or veg. oil
  • 3 Tbsl grated Parmesan chesse

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven at 375 lightly oil 8 inch sq. baking dish
cook macaroni as directed.

In small bowl whisk flour and 2 Tbsp milk

I large saucepan (2qt) heat remaining milk until steaming

Whisk small amount hot milk into flour mix then whisk into milk. stir until smooth and thick.

Remove the sauce from heat stir in cheese, salt and peppers set a side

in a blender, processor puree cottage until smooth stir into sauce. stir Mac. in to sauce spoon mixture into dish

Stir breadcrumbs Parmesan and oil until will mixed and sprinkle over Mac and Cheese .

Bake 40 to 45 min or until brown
