Ingredients
- butter 1 cup , softened
- powdered sugar 1 cup
- egg 1
- rum extract 1 1/2 teaspoons
- flour 2 1/2 cups
- salt 1/4 teaspoon
- colored sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg and extract.
Combine flour and salt gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Using a cookie press fitted with the disk of your choice, press cookies 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with colored sugar.
Bake for 6 to 9 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool for 2 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.
Makes about 7 dozen.
