Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 T. salt
- 2 T. yeast (SAF is best)
- 2 1/4 c. warm water
- 6 - 6 1/2 cups flour
Preparation
Step 1
Combine 2 eggs beaten well with 1/2 c. sugar and 1 T. salt. Stir well.
Dissolve 2 T. yeast in 2 1/4 c. of warm water. Stir into above mixture.
Add flour. Knead mixture. Rub shortening on top of dough. Cover with dishcloth and place on top of working dryer to rise for about 2 hours.
Divide dough into two parts. Roll out 1/4 inch thick into a circle shape. Cover with melted butter. Cut circle into pie shaped pieces. Roll up roll from widest end to thinnest. Place on cookie sheet and cover with towel. Let rise another hour.
Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes
