Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup Butter Flavor Crisco or 1/2 cup any shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1Preheat oven to 350°.2Grease & flour a 10" tube pan or bundt pan.3Sift dry Ingredients.4Cream butter & shortening together.5Add sugar a little at a time.6Cream until fluffy.7Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition to fully incorporate the eggs into the batter.8Add dry ingredients and milk to mixture alternating; starting and ending with flour.9Mix in vanilla.10Pour into prepared pan.11Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until it passes the toothpick test.
