Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 Tbsp Tabasco sauce
  • 1 Tbsp prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp minced fresh ginger
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 lb wingettes and drumettes, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • Chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat broiler with rack 6 inches from element. Line a baking sheet with foil.

Combine molasses, Tabasco, mustard, vinegar, ginger, garlic, and oil. Reserve 2/3 cup sauce for serving with wings.

Arrange wings on prepared baking sheet and broil 10 minutes. Flip wings, baste with molasses mixture, and broil 6 minutes more. Flip wings and baste uncoated side. Broil wings until they begin to caramelize and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat registers 165F, about 3 minutes more.

Toss wings with some of the reserved sauce, then serve remaining sauce for dipping.
