Crunchy Romaine Toss Salad

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup White Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tsp. Lite Soy Sauce
  • 1 (3 oz. pkg.) Ramen Noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 1/2 Cups Broccoli, chopped
  • 1 Head Romaine Lettuce, chopped
  • 4 Green Onions, chopped
  • 3/4 Cup Slivered Almonds
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a jar or container with a tight fitting lid, combine the sugar, olive oil, vinegar, soy sauce, salt and pepper and shake well.

In a large bowl combine broccoli, romaine and green onions.

Optional: In a skillet, saute noodles in butter until golden brown.

Roast the almonds in the oven until lightly brown.

Just before serving, toss everything together.
