Cole Slaw

Ingredients

  • 1 large head of green cabbage, shredded
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tsp prepared mustard
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 tsp celery seed
  • 3/4 cup salad oil

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cabbage, onions, 1/2 cup sugar, and salt togethter in a mixing bowl. Set aside. In a saucepot mix vinegar, mustard, remaining sugar, water and celery seed together. Bring to a boil. Add the oil when bubbling and cook several minutes. Pour heated dressing over the cabbage mixture. Stir and chill overnight.
