Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon.slivered
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1/3 c cider vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 c our cream
- 1/2 c chopped green onions
- Salad greens,at least 3 kinds,enough for 4 people
Preparation
Step 1
Rub salad bowl with garlic
Put salad greens in bowl
Fry the bacon quite crisp
Remove the bits and sprinkle on top of the greens
Put the bacon fat back on the heat and add sugar.vinegar and seasonings
Stir until sugar is thoroughly dissolved
Pour immediately over the greens (if using sour cream stir into greens before adding hot fat)
Grated Parmesan cheese,chopped chives and parsley make an agreeable garnish
