Sides, Carbs: Healthier Dumplings

This recipe replaces the butter or margarine in baking powder dumplings with canola oil.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 TBSP Canola or other vegtable oil
Preparation
Step 1
Mix dry ingredients together.
Add milk and salad oil.
Drop by spoonfuls into hot stew or soup.
Cover and cook under low heat for 10 minutes, (do not open the lid while the dumplings are cooking).
