Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 3 diced sticks celery
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 5 c tomato juice
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • dash of lemon juice (or to taste)
  • 4 Tbsp Vodka

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter and gently fry onions and celery until golden brown
Stir in tomato paste and sugar
Add tomato juice and simmer for 10 min
Add remaining ingredients
Puree in blender or with an immersion blender
May be served hot or cold
Add a dash of sour cream
