Brown Sugar Smokies #2

Ingredients

  • 2 pound bacon
  • 2 (16 ounce) package little smokie sausages
  • 2 cups brown sugar, or to taste

Step 1

Day before:
Spread lots of brown sugar on flat pan. Cut bacon slices in halves or thirds. coat both sides of slices, roll 1-2 smokies up in each slice, roll again in brown sugar & secure with toothpick. Put several on wooden skewers & place in ziploc bag. Refrigerate flat in refrigerator overnight.
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Arrange the skewers on a baking rack and sprinkle them liberally with brown sugar. Place rack on foil-lined sheet pan (for easy clean-up).
3. Bake until bacon is crisp and the brown sugar melted(25-45 min.). Cut skewers into individual servings.
