Date And Blue Cheese Tarts

??The savoury taste of blue cheese and the sweetness of dates are a perfect appetizer combination. These are super-quick and easy to make ahead of time. Serve warm or cold. ??
Ingredients
- Pastry for 2 crust 9 inch (22 cm) pie
- Large eggs 2 2
- Buttermilk 1/3 cup 75 mL
- Ground nutmeg 1/2 tsp. 2 mL
- Finely chopped pitted dates 1/2 cup 125 mL
- Blue cheese, crumbled 1 1/2 oz. 43 g

Preparation
Step 1
Roll out pastry on lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch (6 mm) thickness. Cut into 3 1/4 inch (8.2 cm) circles with fluted cutter. Line tartlet pans or mini muffin cups with circles.
Whisk next 3 ingredients in medium bowl. Add dates and blue cheese. Stir well. Spoon about 2 tsp. (10 mL) date mixture in each shell. Bake on bottom rack in 375°F (190°C) oven for about 15 minutes until set. Let stand in pan for
10 minutes before serving. Makes 24 tarts.
