Ingredients

  • 1 lb bacon, cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 red peppers, chopped
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 4 cans pinto peans
  • 1.5 cans water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 T mustard
  • 1 T chili powder
  • 2 t salt
  • 2 t pepper
  • 4 galic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup molasses

Preparation

Step 1

Cook bacon in a pot until partially cooked, drain some of the fat.
Add red peppers and chopped white onion, cook 3-4 mins.
Add pinto beans and water.
Bring to a boil.
Add brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, chili powder, salt, minced garlic cloves, and molasses.
Simmer until thickened.
