Such a great recipe for cold days. Make a bunch of meatballs and freeze, use as needed for a number of dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 2/3 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Gravy
  • 2 T. cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 T. soy sauce
  • 2 T. sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 beef bullion cube
  • Can of mushrooms – drained – optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together all ingredients, adding the meat last. Shape into small balls. Put on jelly-roll pan. Bake 20-30 minutes 350 degrees.
Prepare gravy while meatballs are in oven. Combine first 4 ingredients heat until thickened. Add water and bullion, mixing until hot. Add drained mushrooms and salt and pepper. Place in casserole with meatballs and serve.
