Such a great recipe for cold days. Make a bunch of meatballs and freeze, use as needed for a number of dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1

    ½ pounds ground chuck

  • 1

    egg

  • ½

    cup evaporated milk

  • cup water

  • cup bread crumbs

  • ¼

    cup onions

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Gravy

  • 2

    T. cornstarch

  • ½

    cup water

  • 2

    T. soy sauce

  • 2

    T. sour cream

  • 1

    ½ cup water

  • 1

    beef bullion cube

  • Can of mushrooms – drained – optional

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Mix together all ingredients, adding the meat last. Shape into small balls. Put on jelly-roll pan. Bake 20-30 minutes 350 degrees. Prepare gravy while meatballs are in oven. Combine first 4 ingredients heat until thickened. Add water and bullion, mixing until hot. Add drained mushrooms and salt and pepper. Place in casserole with meatballs and serve.
