Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 (pound) rump roast
  • canola oil for searing only
  • 1/2 (teaspoon) seasoned salt
  • 1/2 (teaspoon) pepper
  • 1 (1.0 ounce envelope) onion soup mix
  • 1 (large) onion, thinly sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Sprinkle meat with seasoned salt and pepper and sear. Put roast in crock-pot and soup mix. Top with sliced onion. DO NOT ADD WATER. Cover pot and simmer on low for 7 to 9 hours.
