Spiced Nuts

Easy and yummy. Since I am not a cookie baker, they are nice alternative to give as gifts at Christmas!
Great with beer and alcoholic beverages. Great for Sunday night football!

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (I use a mixture of cayenne and ancho)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or canola oil
- 2 cups whole, raw walnuts or mixture of pecans and walnuts

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F and arrange a rack in the middle. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Place all ingredients except the oil and nuts in a large bowl and stir to combine. Add the oil and stir until incorporated. Add the nuts and stir until evenly coated. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 10 - 15 minutes, stirring once, until golden brown and fragrant. Let cool on the baking sheet.
