Belgian Waffles

Ingredients

  • Sift:
  • 1 3/4 C flour
  • Re-sift with:
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • Beat well:
  • 3 egg yolks
  • Add:
  • 2 T melted butter
  • 1 1/2 C milk

Preparation

Step 1

Make hole in center of dry ingredients. Pour in liquids. Combine slowly. Do not over stir, batter will have a pebbled look.

Beat until stiff but not dry:
3 egg whites

Fold into batter until barely blended.
