Ingredients
- Black Beans (soak over night in cold water and rinse)
- 1 Diced onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1/2 teas. ground cumin
- salt and pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Put soaked beans into a pot and cover with 2 inches of cold water.
Add onion, garlic and spices.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and let simmer until done. (about 1 1/2 hours.)
Add about 1/8 C. of butter to a hot pan. Add beans to the pan. Mash the beans until it is what you want, some mashed some whole.
