No-Bake Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 T. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3 c. oats (1-minute)
  • 3 heaping spoonfuls crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, cocoa, milk and butter. Bring to a boil. Boil 1 to 2 minutes; then take off stove. Add oats, peanut butter and vanilla. Mix well. Drop by spoonful onto waxed paper.

Use Parkay margarine or another margarine with the same amount of vegetable oil as Parkay. Do not use Blue Bonnet. If mixture is too thick when you get ready to drop it onto waxed paper, you can add a little water. If the mixture is too thin, you can add a few oats to thicken.
