Ingredients
- Meringue:
- 2 cups milk
- 2 egg yolks, beaten (save whites)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 T. butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 egg whites
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 4 T. sugar
- 1 drop vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Mix and cook until thick. Add butter and vanilla; pour in baked pie shell. Top with meringue; brown in 375 degree oven.
Meringue: Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff. Add sugar and vanilla.
