Ingredients
- Sweet Potato Filling:
- 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp butter flavoring
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/2 cup canned evaporated milk
- 1 egg
- Casserole Topping:
- 3/4 cup crushed corn flakes
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 stick butter, softened

Step 1
Mix the mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, butter and flavoring in a large bowl. Beat egg slightly in small dish and add milk. Add egg mixture to potato mixture and combine thoroughly.
Spoon potatoes into a greased 8x8 baking dish and bake at a 350 degree oven until it begins to set. Then cover the top with the casserole topping (mix casserole topping ingredients well with fork in small bowl to combine).
Bake an additional 20-30 minutes or until brown. Cover with loose foil if browning too fast.
