Meatloaf

  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 8 ounce cans tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup water to thin

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, salt & pepper and ½ cup of tomato sauce, form into a loaf and put in shallow pan. Stir together rest of tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, add water if too thick and pour over meatloaf. Bake 1 hour, basting every 15 minutes.
