Ingredients
- 1 pkg.Filo sheets
- 3 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups sliced ham
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup apple sauce or 1 small thinly sliced apple
- 1 stick butter
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to temp. recommended on Filo pastry box.
Melt butter and set aside.
On your sheet tray place one sheet of pastry and brush both sides with butter.
Mix the Dijon mustard and apple sauce together.
Spread 1/2 of grated cheese on top of the Dijon mixture.
Layer your ham on top of cheese.
Add the rest of cheese on top of th ham.
On the existing sheet of pastry brush both sides with butter.
Spread mustard mixture on one side.
Place the sheet of pastry,mixture side down on your cheese.
With a fork gently crimp the edges of the pastry.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Let sit for 5 minutes,serve in small squares.
