Peanut Blossoms

Ingredients

• 1-3/4 cup regular flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1 egg
• 2 Tbsp milk

Preparation

Step 1

Combine dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another. Mix on low mixer speed until dough forms. Shape dough into rounded teaspoon fulls. Roll balls in sugar and place on cookie sheets with foil. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 min. Top each cookie immediately with a chocolate kiss; press until the cookie cracks around the edges.
