FOUND THIS IN A BED AND BREAKFAST COOKBOOK. WAS SERVED AT OAK TREE INN HEBER SPRINGS, ARKANSAS

Ingredients

  • 1 8- ounce package cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/3 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Preparation

Step 1

In a glass bowl combine all ingredients.
Microwave for 2 minutes. Beat well.
Microwave another 2 minutes, Beat again.

Note This is the Oak Tree Inn's version of Eggs Benedict. Toast the muffins in the toaster or butter and place under the broiler. Put 2 pieces of cooked bacon on muffin, place a poached egg on bacon, and top with Chive Sauce.
