Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup Ghiradelli milk chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons Chambord
- 1/8 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/3 cup strong coffee or espresso
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate chips or chocolate shavings for garnish
Preparation
Step 1
Whisk together milk, sugar, cocoa powder and salt in a medium saucepan over medium heat; bring just to a simmer. Remove pan from heat and whisk in chocolate chips until melted. Whisk in Chambord, almond extract and espresso until combined.
Pour mixture into a mug and top with whipped cream. Garnish with chocolate if desired.
Makes 1 big serving
