Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup raisins
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Preparation
Step 1
Sift together flour, baking powder, spices and salt. Cream shortening, sugars and eggs together well. Blend in flour mixture. Add raisins and walnuts; mix well.
Drop by teaspoonful onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
