Ingredients

  • 20 cups shredded cabbage
  • 5 medium red apple, diced
  • 5 medium firm banana, sliced
  • 1-2/3 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 2-1/2 cups mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup and 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt to taste

1. In a bowl, combine the first five ingredients; set aside. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine mayonnaise, milk, sugar, lemon juice and salt if desired; shake well. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss to coat.
