Thimble Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 c flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Jam or jelly

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour,baking powder,salt and sugar
Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender or a food processor until mixture is in small crumbs
Stir in the egg
Using your hands pull the dough together until it forms a ball
Pinch dough in small pieces and place on cookie sheet
Make a small indentation in each and fill with jam or jelly
Bake 10 min at 350
