Cabbage Roll Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • ½ c. uncooked rice (instant rice works well)
  • 1 (7 oz) can tomato juice (I usually add a little more)
  • 1 small head of cabbage, shredded (or small package of already shredded cabbage from the grocery store).
  • ¼ t. cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Brown beef with onion (drain) add rice and seasoning. Place shredded cabbage in 2 quart casserole. Place hamburger over cabbage and pour tomato juice over both. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove and stir until well mixed. Can also add some tomato juice now if too dry. Bake 15 minutes more.
