Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef or italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cans (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 to 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 to 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Step 1
In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink- drain. Transfer to a slow cooker. Add rest of ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours until heated. Yield- 6 to 8 servings.
