Joyce's "Secret" Award-Winning Green Chile Sauce

Use this sauce to spice up hamburgers, brats, eggs, soups... just about anything that needs a "kick." Freezes well.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 to 2 cups Hatch Green Chile, toasted, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Dash cumin

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onions in butter. Add flour to make a paste. Stir in chicken broth, chile, garlic and cumin.
